Hello, future FIQWS student!

I joined this class because I’m a huge Broadway nerd and figured I would love the class. However, I wish I had known we were going to be analyzing three musicals deeply for the whole semester! I’m obsessed with a new show every week, so focusing on one musical for an entire semester wasn’t easy. My advice to you is, learn to love your musical. Obsess over it, listen to the soundtrack, watch the movie often! Once you’ve mastered your musical, analyzing it becomes so easy because it’s just another interest! I learned how to utilize the school’s library to get great sources for my paper. When you’re left to your own devices, it’s extra hard to find reliable sources using plain old Google. Even if you aren’t usually into musicals, this class will make you obsess over them for a few months.
